ok what i am wondering is, will a set of heated grips work on a auto 200x it has the stock atc200 wiring hrness- but i think they need a battery to make them work and this wiring harness does not have a battery, the guy at the dealer does not know if they will work either???

You have to check the wattage requirements of the grips, and then see if your lighting coil will deliver it. I dont know what an auto 200X is, but your stator, whatever it is from, will have a certain wattage rating that it can deliver. That wattage is probably on the specs pages. If it can deliver more than the grips require, they will work. What your lights draw will be printed on the bulbs, and your stator may not be able to support lights and heated grips at the same time.

My brother ran some on his Blaster years ago.

My 84 200es has an auxilary behind the light that can easily be used for this, but the sx does not... argh.
