Best Mud Tires for 250 Big Red

I havent ridden a threewheeler in several years now, use to have 84 200es big red that I loved and completely wore out. Best I can remember, everytime I got it stuck, it was in the mud, lol. Now I have just gotten an 87 250 bigred and I want to put the best mud tires I can get on it. I have been looking on the net all morning at tires and am wondering which you guys think are the best. Some that I like are the

    Gators
    Vampires
    Mud Bugs

others I am considering are bear claws, mud lites, dirt devils and super swampers.

what do you guys think is the best??

Also are the 25 -13- 9 and 25-13.5-9 tires too wide for the bigreds rims or will they hit anything on the rear??

I run Kenda Bearclaws on the rear of my 85 250es. They are the 25X12.5X9's Still give me enough speed on the flatter part of the trail and work great in all but the stickiest clay type of mud. Will have to dig up a pic and post it later.

There are a handful of '87 model's out there. The one's that are elusive and that everybody want's are the Honda 250R and 350X.

Some places I have seen on the net say They are hard to find and some say they arent I had an 85 xr80 fourstroke dirt bike that a kid wanted, he traded me the bigred and gave me 150.00 for it. the motor was locked on the red. turns out it was just a spring broke in the tranny and made its way to wedge between the crank counterbalance and rod. I should have it backtogether and running by the end of the week and want to put some of the baddest mud tires I can get on it.

the mud bugs and gators look good too. I would probably go with gators if you dont want swampers.

www.Treadepot.com has some good prices. I dont know if you have looked but I would go with CHENG SHIN - MUD SHARK tires. I have no idea how well they work but they are $56.00 and look like they will do the job real well.
