Can the springs be taken off of the shocks? All I want to do is paint the springs and reinstall them. I have never tried this before so do not know what all is involved.

I know it can be taken off the rear shock, but the front ones I'm not sure about...
Yes they can. There is a retainer clip at the top of the shock, remove that and the spring comes off. You will have to compress the spring to get to it.

BE CAREFULL THO cause those springs are under some pressure and will shoot out when the clip is undone and stuff
