    TRX250R tech question

Can the springs be taken off of the shocks? All I want to do is paint the springs and reinstall them. I have never tried this before so do not know what all is involved.

Yes they can. There is a retainer clip at the top of the shock, remove that and the spring comes off. You will have to compress the spring to get to it.
