When I was young and foolish I had mine that deep plenty of times. I vividly remember looking back and seeing my exhaust bubbling up and hoping the water didn't get any deeper. My dad used to yell at me that Yamaha didn't make submarines.

i have rear bearings on hand, in the summer, if its a wet summer, i will just mud bog, the entire time, and every month i do rear bearings
i split the cases on it, new gaskets, plus siicone, no water gettin in that bad boy
I have been in water so deep, that standing on the seat, i still got wet feet (in rubbers) i was running a snorkel, yes, i aint that stupid :P
