    Unhappy uh-oh

went bring the kids ride today, everything was working fine on my 185s. I was making a sharp curve in a trail, downshifted from 2nd to 1st, everything still good. When I tried to shift back to second, nothing...shifter wouldnt go down. I shifted into neutral from first and it shifted fine...back to 1st and it wouldnt go..its stuck in neutral....I think I even bent the shifter a lil trying...What gives? or should I say, what isnt giving?

I would agree and say shift fork. I had one go bad on my 83 R. It would not go into 3rd. all the other gears were there just not third. You gotta split the cases to get to it.

Could just be the shifting shaft end broke (gear shift plate). I have seen them break before.
