Pros and Cons of removal of air box cover in winter

The other day I thought I'd see how much power taking the air box cover gave my SXs. Welp they arent goin back on except on rainy days and muddy nights. Should I put the air box cover back on or wont it matter?

P.S. I love the sound it makes now. Sounds like a semi goin through the trails

That will cause you to run a little leaner so do a couple of plug checks. If it's still a nice tan color you won't be hurting anything leaving it off.

the biggest problem i've run into is is alot of snow or water gets sucked through the aircleaner and when it gets below 32 degrees the carb slide always freezes wide open!!!!
