    Front Ski

I have a yamaha 225. I wanted to know if anybody knew where you can find one of the old front ski conversions. I haven't seen on for a long time. Also what would your recomendations be for rear tires for snow use. The 22.10.8 turf tires aren't cutting it in the deep stuff.

any agressive open lug mud tire should work well in snow. keep in mind no trike is going to be better than a sled in deep powder.

i couldnt tell ya on where to find one but i would think paddles or mud tires are the best for snow..paddles for the real light powder stuf and mud for the thick wet packed snow

my friend made a custom ski out of an old ski-doo front ski all he did is weld some braces to it that would mount up to the front axle and to the fork legs, plus he took the trak off the skidoo also and cut down so it would wrap around the rear tires and he just bolted the track together on the rear tires(he had the rear bolts that haeld the 2 pieces of the track sticking outward from the track fro a little extra tracktion)it was a pritty neet snow ATC.
    my trikes:
    1983 honda atc 200x-k&n filter
2002 yamaha raptor 660r, yoshimura slip on, prm grab bars

I have seen a 350x with one ski strapped around the front tire with a tie down and my buddy wants to put a old ski on his atc 200, but he think two welded together would be better than one. What do you think?
    thanks

one piece of advice if you want to go fast in the snow get a sled, but if you want to ride your trike in the snow you could grab a ski from the local scrap yard()theres lots of good stuff there) grap some 2 inch strapping bend it weld a piece of pipe to it stick your axle through then weld the strapping to the ski and your done if you wreck the ski just haul it back to the junk
