    1984 200s won't start

Here's the problem. I pulled the 200s out of the shed where it had been sitting for over 6 years without running. Cleaned the carbuerator, replaced plug, and gas. Ran fine for a couple of weeks. Now it will not crank. Any suggestions?

pull the plug out and with it still connected to the plug wire, hold the bottom of it up to the engine block, and pull the starter. if it sparks, then thats not the problem. if its been sitting for 6 years, an often overlooked problem with bikes like this is the fuel shut off valve. disconnect it from the fuel lines, and shoot some carb cleaner through it, and while your at it shoot some through all the fuel lines also. should help.
