no experience with one, i think it would be faster and better then the trx250R (orignal) but then i think the hop up parts are limited and it cost u like 9 k to get one made

Look under www.servicehonda.com and you will see it. I do not have any intentions on getting one (my ATC is just fine, thank you), just never have heard any comment on them from owners. I just happened to accidently see it when looking up the CR500AF which I plan on getting. I will probably wait until 06 since the 05 CR's have the generation 3 frame and not the fourth like the CRF's, which is a huge disapointment.
There are a ton of hop up parts for it because it's still a 400ex basicaly. The motor is just a CR motor so you can go to town inside the motor and out. They have couple of good pipes. The frame is a reinforced one that you trade yours in for. Lastly the kit is 5G plus your frame, subframe, swinger and title. You keep your motor and the rest of the parts like your a-arms, tires, shocks, plastic, steering and all the little stuff go into the kit. If you put 9G into it, you put way to much money into finding a 400ex that was getting chopped.Originally Posted by RideRed250R

Would rather do it myself if i had the coin.
They have them already made. I've looked a lot into this kit and pipes were one of my concerns too. Hand made ones aren't cheep but they have a couple on the shelf.Originally Posted by RideRed250R

I wonder if you could put the Service Honda 250R motor in an ATC250R? I hear those are some really strong motors. I know you could just build up the old motor but just wondering if they would fit?
It's only a 5-speed!!!

That is one bad quad, I wish I could afford to build one myself. That thing would blow a YFZ or 450R away acceleration wise. They should put a CR 500 motor in a 400EX frame, that would be insane!
but you just cant beat the looks of the old 250r's.
