    Question 1983 250r to 480r question(s)

    ok, i am a lot younger then most of you so forgive me and my lack of knowledge in this particular area. I would like to turn my 83 R into a 480R ...is there a kit i can buy, or do i have to buy another motor/tweak mine and kinda customize the thing? If there is a kit, where can i get one...or is this stuff basically obselete?

    I doubt there is a kit like that for the old R. There are some guys on www.midwesttrikers.com that have done the swap. I'm not sure but I would imagine some new motor mounts would have to be made as well as a custom pipe. Small stuff that is easily dealt with in my view. Good luck.
