It'll be hard to get any kind of paint to stick to the hot exhaust. They seem to all burn off- even if you follow the instructions to the 'T' and bake it in a commercial oven to cure the paint.

2 pack paint is the best as far as gas resistant paint goes.
This picture is of my 200es project bike , I painted the tank red with clear over it.

PJ1 case paint is gas and oil resistant but I don't think you'll get a nice shiny finish with it on a gas tank. No tips on exhaust paint though.

I've always used BBQ paint on my headers. I always wire brush them down and clean them up. Put on 2-3 coats, letting them dry/ cure before the next coat. Used on my 350X and my 250R... still looks good.

I used High Heat paint it’s for BBQ's and stoves. It says it good up to 1200 degrees. I put 3-4 coats on and it’s still on my exhaust. It can be found at any hardware store.
