82R seat problem.

When i go up hills and my R jumps a little or alot. my rear fender comes off the latch?!
theres a different seat on it. a smaller one as it doesnt reach the grooves in the fender. could this be why? is there some sort of latch missing which clips under the gas tank?

i have a rear latch on the fender connecting to the frame.

I can try and describe best what you need to know. or i can see if anyone has a camera i can borrow. its a BIT BIG to fit in my scanner

Here's a picture of the bottom front of my 81 R seat. Yours should look the same.

Yep... the seat pan itself has those two pieces that 'lock' the front down, then there's a latch that bolts through the plastic/seat in the back.

nope my seat hasnt them clips.... hmmmm.wonder what seat it could be. looks like a 70 or 110.

how can i lock the front down?
