If its on, Lets get it over with!
1985 KXT250 Tecate, Well sort of...84 frame, 85 engine, 86 front end
According to 3Wheelerworlds own specs page, the '85 Tecate came with a Keihin VM32SS carburetor. So, according to that, the stock carb size is a 32mm.

I'll look that up later. that may not be correct. The 84 was a 32mm. But I think they upped the carb to a 34mm in '85. And I believe they only ever had Mikuni Carbs except for the 88 Tecate-4.

Jeb, I was thinking the same thing when I posted my answer. A Keihin carb on a 80's era Kawasaki just didn't sound right. Back then, Kawasakis traditionally ran Mikuni carburetors. Since I didn't have any of my old mags or brochures handy to refer to for the actual info, I thought I'd use the 3WW's spec page. The specs are correct on a few other bikes that I had looked at, so I assumed they'd be correct for the Tecate also. As for posting misinformation, I'm sorry to have been part of the problem & not the solution. I'll self-appoint myself to 1 week of super-secret-probation as punishment.Originally Posted by Jeb
