Unhappy Had a rough day today. Had to put my Dog to sleep.

Man. I had a rough day today. My 8 year old Mini Schnauzer had to be put down. Had cancer. It about killed me. I think its the hardest thing I have ever had to do. At least so far. Man it tore me up.

Sorry to hear the news. Your pain will pass, his is now over. I dread the day that I will not have the company of my Black Lab, Coal.
Here's a little something that has always touched me:

Near this spot are deposited the remains of one who possessed Beauty without Vanity,
    Strength without Insolence,
    Courage without Ferocity,
and all the Virtues of Man without his Vices.
This praise, which would be unmeaning Flattery,
    if inscribed over human ashes,
is but just a tribute to the Memory of BOATSWAIN, an Dog.

Thanks guys. I still have my other Schnauzer. Shes a good girl. Always glued to my leg. Especially today. She knew what was going on, and saw her this afternoon before we burried her. Thanks for the thoughts guys.

I had to put downmy dog not that long ago, he had a heart attack, heres a pic of him. Its been 6 months and I still miss him everytime I'm cooking in the kitchen and I'm expecting to see him sitting right next to me. Also I still look for him in the front of the house when I walk up to the front door.

    Aw man,

That is terrible. I have been there too, brother- hardest thing I have had to do. She was my 17 year old Golden Retriever that I literally grew up with. I felt like I lost a sister when her time came. Dogs have always been a close and important part of my family.

Sadly enough, I can say that in today's world, the more people I meet, the more I love my dog. You'll find another dog eventually, but not as a replacement- you can't replace something like that. But, your new dog will grow to be every bit as close in its own unique way. Good luck, and my condolences.

Wow, sorry to hear it man. I look at my dog sometimes and think how bad it will be when that day comes. Some pets are more like family then just animals.
