    Hey Clay,

I am sure I speak for the whole community when I say our thoughts and prayers are w/ you!

To loose a grandparent is rough thing to go through.

To have lost your dog in the same week is very hard on a guy.

I can't even imagine what it will be like when my two mini daschunds go!

Go find a couple of good friends and take a nice long ride.

I think most of us have been there at one point or another. When we put down our 12 year old rottweiler due to malignant tumors it tore us all up inside. Even my dad who in all my life I never saw shed a tear except to a good laugh cryed. I now think of him as a bigger man for not tring to hide his feelings that day. And just 2 weeks ago my great-grandmother died and I dont think that was near as bad as my dog's death. I'm sorry I cant really give you any solace except for this, People come and people go but memories last forever. Just remember although family members have moved on you can remember them as they once were and think that they are better off now then when they were suffering from cancer or whatever they had at the time. Everyone is definatly right when they say a good ride and time will heal.

I wish a good ride would have healed me. When Jojo, I was too young to know what type, died, I thought a good ride would take my mind off of it... But I cried on the ride, passed out, and woke up in a swamp under my rear tire... I am so sorry about the recent unfortunate happenings in your life Clay, in an ideal world dogs would die just as their best friends would choose to: at the same time.

Take comfort in the fact that you gave your dog the best life possible. Dogs are just designed to live a little shorter than we are. I'm sure you dog passed contently knowing that it was loved.

Thanks guys. Im a lot better now. I still cant think about it much becuase it works on me. But I still have my other Schnauzer (same age as Abby) and the a Standard Poodle puppy. Wife wanted it, not me. The other Schnauzer has been glued to my leg ever since Abby Died. Wont let me out of her sight, and DEMANDS to be in the bed, under the covers with me. LOL. I love my dogs.
