sx muffler.
my muffler is starting to rust through. i can weld it up. my question is this....i am wanting to cut it open and gut the baffles. is this a worth while mod? i can get an aftermarket ferformance muffler for about $230canadian.but if the power gain is comparable.....than i will modify the original. performance mods to trikes are all new to me.

the only thing Ive seen with cutting the baffles out is they are louder and they might gain a few mile an hour or kilometers an hour in your case.
If you take the spark arrestor off almost all the exhaust air will go through that spark arrestor and pretty much bypass the baffle.
By doing that and removing the air cover ive noticed a big difference when I drag race my friend on his quad, the differnce? I can beat him now
