Heard a sweet rumor now what are the odds??

I have had a couple people over the last few weeks come in to the store here (asking about parts) tell me that there is a honda dealer about 50 miles from here that still has some ATC's brand new in the box that they couldnt get rid of. Now I have told them that this isnt possible but they insist that this is true. What are the odds of something like this?? I am going to call this dealership tommorow and find out if such a thing exsists but i am not holding my breath.

It was my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong) that Honda issued a "product retraction" and "bought back" most of the ATCs from their dealers. If that was the case, why would anyone who owned a dealership at the time effectively loose the money out of their product investment like that. I doubt its true - but - don't let that keep you from checking it out. Also, I wouldn't call them about it either - go in person (bring a camera) tell them about 3WW and our passion with these trikes. Might make the doors open a little easier.

It is very possible, I know he local dealership here had a couple Z's (Nesco's "Fun For Sale" Yamaha - arctic cat dealership). It was about 2 years ago when I was ordering parts for my bike me and the owner got talking about ATC's, and he told me they had a couple in crates unbuilt in the storage barn (right next door to the dealership). He took me down there and showed me the inside of the barn, it is PACKED with dirtbikes/atvs/sleds in crates, so it was pretty much out of the question to get to the back of the barn and see them for myself, but he told me they were there. Every year they get rid of some of the stuff in storage to make room for the new models, so I am unsure if they are still there, or if they ever truly were. Either way it was fun to think about, and its cool thinking about a brand new Z just sitting there still boxed up in pieces.

I'd really prefer if the NY guys gave Mike a call and talked to him about it, even if he DID have them, and they COULD be bought, I sure as hell wouldnt have the money. Come on Bruce, Holic, etc.. http://nesco-funforsale.com/
