    250R motor compression

I have a chance to buy a 1982 250R for 1200 Cdn. But a little leary about the motocross motor, do they have to be overhauled more often than a 4 stroke, and if so what compression on the motor should I be looking for? Also what should I look for that can be worn out or costly. I was looking for a 185 or 200. But the price seems decent.

check the homepage on the specs section.. they are all listed.

2 stroke requires a bit more preventive maintenance from what i read, rings and such.

Thanks for info, I should probably stay with a four stroke as I'd sooner ride than fix.
