Sounds to me that it has a burntout valve, thats why its hard to start and wont idle. My guess is that when you are fixing the oil leak, new valves and a re-seat wouldnt go astray. Well worth the current money.
You'd hope the swingarm bearings on her would be welded up pretty good eh? I'd buy it for what its at now though.
