    84 125 M - The Mini-SX not running yet. but won't be long.

    I leave the gas on all my trikes ON. all the time.

    that a bad thing ?

    I should go look at that, i live in minneapolis and have a 85 250r right now.
    I will see if any of my friends are interested in it. being i have 4 machines already and am running outa garage space haha

    I think that it causes premature needle seat failure, it gums up your carb bowl (two stroke only I think), and if your needle seat does wear out, if you have a gravity fed fuel system, it could fill the carb and make a gas leak.

    It doesn't hurt to turn it off but leaving it on won't destroy anything immediately. If the fuel sits in the carb (or anywhere else) too long, it will deteriorate and varnish will cake everything. The jets and needle/seat are tough to clean when this happens. If the needle/seat doesn't seal, fuel will pour into the carb, cylinder, airbox, and overflow. This can screw things up.
