Never had this happen to me either, and I have hit whoops in 5th gear! I also drove for about hours with my rear fender facing forward at 50+mph speeds almost the entire trip!!!

Those things do look pretty beefy though! That's for sure!

man, every 250r i have had the seat, and plastics have came off during a race.huge doubles, and nasty whoops will throw that seat off everytime.i cut the 2 post off mine, and replaced them with 2 3/8 carriage bolts.welded to the seat latch, and just use wing nuts to secure the seat down.haven't lost the plastics since.

My cure........2 springs. I never had a problem with mine when I still ran it, though I did hear of it. Only problem I had was the grommets at the rear wearing and causing a bit of a rattle. Use 2 springs and never look back. Comes off like stock, it's just that the latch is stiffer to pull.
