who is this harlan guy, i am interested in some decals for my 86r? does he make the warning one for the top of the headlight? how bout the black ones for the rear fender?
Harlan is one of the nicest people I have ever had to deal with! I have bought countless amounts of decals off him for my restorations and every time I am happy. As far as your R goes he probably does have the one for the top of headlight, and if he does have it ,it's gonna be what you want.
Yes he has the top headlight warning decal. I don't recall his email address off hand. 350x'NY has it.

Harlan Lynse. Fantastic to deal with. The absolute BEST!!! hjlysne@charter.netOriginally Posted by wanta86r
I see the term "NOS" all the time when the decal subject come up...what is that?..and Harlan sent me a basic set of '84 "Big Red" decals along with a couple warning stickers for $75..they look real good.
NOS is short for New Old Stock (For most of the conversations involving it, heh)
New old stock is something, whatever it may be ,that is actually made for that machine in a proudction basis ,I thought.Example: I have decals on e-bay now that are as close to the real Mckoy as I could get them,But when I had them made up I changed one thing,so I could'nt get in trouble.Even though they don't have them at the dealer anymore, and I had them made ,I can't see calling them NOS.Am I rite or confused?
Maybe I'm oversimplifying, but New Old Stock means exactly that: the stuff is "new" (meaning it hasn't been sold before) but it is "old stock" because it is no longer in production.
Reproduction decals should never be called NOS because they are reproductions made recently. (That doesn't mean they're bad, as the reproductions might be better quality than OEM/NOS stuff.)
CURRENT RIDES:
1988 Tri-Z 350 Twin
1985 1/2 Tri-Z
1984 IT490

Yamaand sandpuppi have got it. Its a new, OEM (Original equipment manufacturer) part, but has been sitting on the shelf for several years, hence an new old stock part.
Another good source for decals is Andrea Hanke, her email is sierradesign@rushmore.comOriginally Posted by BIGRED_87
She's made a number of decals for me. Very customer friendly.
is it real expensive to have decals made id like to have some for my 200m but there seem to be none around
