Don't even ask..WHEW! I've owned this '84 200es less than a month and so far $2,200.00 with a seized fork yet to overcome..but it'll be 100% original with new oem tires, exhaust, paint, rubbed plastic, Harlan decals..and all metal was acid dipped except the frame.

    Tecate Cost

I'm right at 4 grand, give or take a few bucks. That is finished cost. I didnt expect to put that much into it, but then I never thought I would totally redo it. Now thats the money is spent and the Tecate is done, I think its worth it. This trike is gonna be around a long time. This is an older pic without pipe and seat cover.

Im guessing close to $ 3,000 for my 250es. And it is still nowhere near as good as I want it! I figure im gonna probably need to drop another $ 1,500 till it has a beasty engine and a good looking body/fenders. With this project and my ute project im gonna be sooo broke, im still in debt with my parents!

why we do this is beyond me...

i bought my second 86 r a couple of months ago for 1600. it was in good shape, but i had some extra time the last few months, and got a little carried away- as of now ive got another 1000 in it and havent even got to the motor/carb /intake/exhaust. i figure thatll be another 1000- 1500 for sure- i like to think my machine will be better than new- my version of how it shouldve came in 1986- i am totally in love with this thing
