Just bought a 200S hours ago (for a freind) with a cobra on. Do they have a nice tone to them or are they terribly LOUD?
Main concern is not bothering the neighbors.
Can they be re-packed?

Don't know about the 200, but I have a cobra on my SX and I think its very loud. Not as loud as my DG on my R, but I hope you have cool neibors.
Put it this way, I have had 2 of those pipes on different utility trikes and they arent quiet at all. If you are looking to keep the noise down in certain riding areas or dont like loud sounds, then this pipe is not for you. This is just my opinion but on utility trikes, I would rather stock.
86-87 Tecate ROCK!
Ride fast...........brake late............and Slide the rear!
BummerProbably must come off then!
Wonder if anyone ever made a clever insert to quiet them down?
Cobra make a quiet pipe for 4 strokes, I have seen them on Ebay before.

the replacement inserts in the dennis kirk catty have fiber on them though.
1986 350X K&N filter, DG Krome Power exhaust
1982 110 UNI filter, Cobra megaphone exhaust
1982 honda 110 exhaust for sale, PM me.
I just removed a full Cobra exhaust from my '84 200es and it's in good shape it must have been the quiet type from what I could tell with the little I've driven it...I'd be happy to sell it for $50 + ship..still has the sticker on so I know it's a cobra.
Why did you take it off? Have a picture of it?
My restore project is 100% oem so it had to go..but I'm looking at it here,... must be fairly new it's very solid and has a bracket for install..it's the header and muffler.
If it is the "quiet one" I'd buy it in a second but it's not my 200S. Just wonder how much different the header pipe is then a 84 200X. I doubt it would work but who knows till someone tries? With a little modification (bracket reposition?) the header & exhaust might bolt right on?
If the 200S guy is interested, I'm sure he will come on and inquire about it.
Know a guy with a 84X and thats why I inquired about if it would work.
