Has this ever happened to you???

I asked my son who by the way is "going to MII this year for motor cycle courses " to remove a engine from a 3wheeler that was given to me and put it on my work bench so i could tear it down. No problem ,,the engine was on the bench but he decided to take the torch to the frame to get it out instead of unbolting it.

Sounds like those courses arent a bad idea! JK. You should be able to get a frame fairly cheap, I see a lot more 200's at junkyards than I do other trikes, have yet to find a 250 or 350x at a scrapyard.

My father picked up an aircooled 250R frame, axle and swing arm from the motorcycle wreckers that had the side downtube cut out to get the motor out. It was on the pile bound for the scrap metal because the swing arm bolt was ceased. He has the cut out piece and is going to weld it back in. Maybe you should give it a go?

What does he do for an oil change, cut a hole in the side of the crank case?

Wow - good thing he is not going to school to be a doctor -

"well Mrs. Johnson, your husbands gull bladder is out, unfortunatly, we had to remove his right leg and part of his intestines to get to it" LOL
