The guy isn't going to get even the $2,800 starting bid, but he's also not that far off the fair market value, considering the parts he has there and assuming he will find a mud bogging or rock crawling guy who needs the parts and is willing to pay fair market value for them.
The Axles are Dana 60's. The rear axle commonly goes for $100. If the front is a 78-79 front Dana 60, then it is worth $1,200.
That's $1,300 right there.
Figure in the C-6 tranny and the NP205 T-Case fair market values, and you're at maybe $2,000 +/-
The F 300 I6's are a dime a dozen, so I wouldn't think anyone would really want to mess with that.
