The 85/86 KX 250 engines will bolt right into the 86 T3 with out modifications needed. I did have a 95 engine installed in mine, the KX pipe had to be modified along with the front motor mounts. The rear motor mount needed 2 spacers, and a new head stay due to Kawasaki putting the head mount towards the front. It doesnt take to much work and is defintily worth your time.
