    84 200S recoil ?

I don't have a manual and am wondering how easy they are to take apart. I'm quite sure the spring is busted but it could just be crude too as it really is rusty & cruded up. I see there is a circlip holding the whole assembly in place. I just want to know if I remove the assembly will anything come out of place that I can't see before hand? I hate when you take something apart & parts go flying & then your lost as to how the thing goes back together.

Everything works including the little prongs.......it just does not spring back.

Can anyone look it up and let me know?

    Thank you!

this is from memory because i lost my manual but i took mine apart every time i started it because the pulley was cracked and i had to re align the teeth all the time, it is fairly easy and the spring do come flying out sometimes, if you take the E clip off carfully and then the plate that holds it all together, then nothing should come springing out. Someone on here should be able to scan you part of a manual.

    Simple enough.

If the coil inside broke, and your lucky that it broke where it loops to catch on the cover, just bend a new loop by heating up the end of the coil and bend it with vise grips.

easy enough to figure out , not too many parts in there.

What do you do when THIS part is cracked in several places? Are they easily available?
    Thanks

Buy a new one and check the flywheel for the remaining parts before they tear their way through the charging coils.
