    200x Cam

Is the 200x camshaft really different than the other 200 atc's ? .. I have read that it was, I have read that it isn't .. Anyone know the correct answer? .. Anyone that has actually measured and compared them? ..

They look the same but the cam profile is DEFINATELY different. I have mapped out the timings between an XR200 and an XL185 and they are different. Not sure where ATC stuff fits into it but YES THEY ARE DIFFERENT!

alright well i got my "200x" camshaft out of my trike and used a mike to measure it vs a 200e cam ... same.. Now this was measuring the lift of the cam, ... so does anyone have a 200x cam and another 200cc cam and a mike .. and measure them and tell me if there really is a difference.

i was told the duration of the lifts are different
the size of lobes are probably the same, but someone said the 185/200's gave more torque/bottom end, and the 200x, and xr200's gave more speed/topend
    Caution
Do not "POP WHEELIES" and run for any distance with the ATC. The oil capacity is relatively small and the oil will drain out of the oil pump area thus causing loss of oil pressure, resulting in costly engine damage -CLYMER

The cams are different... I have both and have measured them. The 200x has more lift and duration. The manual lists the specs. Go for a webcam or similar aftermarket cam...you will like it.
