    According to BikeBandit the gears themselves are discontinued. there are still some other parts you can get but the gears and the shaft are no longer made. Look on ebay. I got some on there that were in great shape. They are almost always on there. Good luck

    The problem is internal. It is not the gears themselves, but where the gear and the stopper on the kicker shaft mesh together. The only way I can describe it is the "Z" meshing can wear as in rounding the corners and that is what does the slipping under load. The absolute best way to permanantly fix the problem is to use a thin metal cutting disc on a small angle grinder and reverse cut the "Z" so the teeth, when they are engaged under kicking load, cannot slip out of mesh. It sounds rough, but I can guarantee this will fix the problem. Unless you have teeth missing off the gears, this permanent repair will not cost anything except some time. I will try to post some before and after photos. All my Project X 70's run strokers and big compression and slipping kickers is not even an issue.
