    200 S 3 wheeler find - what luck!

I got one on ebay last week for a freind and it needs parts. Here is what I do sometimes to try and find parts and it works!. This story was sent to the guy I bought the 3 wheeler for. This is now the 3rd time I found one this way.

Got an interesting story to tell you........... I went for a small cruise today looking for anything yellow or red to catch my eye and then it dawned on me that years ago a guy used to sell atc-atv parts not far from me. His garage was a mile or so away from his house and I drove by the garage and it was open but empty. Next thought was to try and find his house because I remember he had some there also. Found the neighborhood but still was not sure which house it was but as I'm driving I have my eagle eyes trained for anyone that has junk of any sort laying around. You know how it is in the country.......junk tractors, mowers, cycles, go carts, etc, etc. I didn't find the house (at least I don't think so) but at one older home with a 2 door garage I noticed an old blue moto 4 that had no engine among all kinds of stuff just like I mentioned. HMMMM, I thought, I'll go up and knock on the door as I walked past it. Had an old 185 street suzooker there too and a Murry tractor identical to mine. Anyway no one was home and as I took the same path back walking past the moto 4 again I check out the R side of the driveway with junk littered here and there all over it. There is quite a bit of snow on it (a foot or more in some spots) and in the deepest part some red catches my eye. I quick walk over and see it's a Honda 3 wheeler with the bars and front fender above the snow! Next step.....what is it, what is it?????? I bend down at identification label and it's a 1985 200S!!!!!!!!!!! What luck!!!!!!!

It is so buried in the snow that I don't even know if the rear tires are on it. It's complete junk too but a parts bike for sure. The motor is still on it and the front end but no front tire. They tail light assembly is perfect yet but (BUMMER) headlight a no-go. It's on but busted up. The actual headlight though is good. Who knows what the frame looks like in the rear???????? Poor thing is frozen solid in the snow. I know because I tugged on it trying to check it out but only for seconds as I would feel like a jerk if they came home seeing me tugging away at it.

Man, that was fun! My excitement for the day. I left a note on their door to call me. Who knows what the outcome will be? The guy might be a pure junk collector and might not want to part with it, might of been his sons and maybe he'll say I can have it or might want way too much for it or just the wife lives there (a divorce?) and she'd be more then glad to have me take it away! Hell, I'll take all the bike junk they have if that's the case!
It's only 5 minutes from me too!

I'll stop by if they don't call me in a few days to see what's up.

Keep your eyes opened too for anything that even remotely looks like a bike or 3 wheeler. I'm seriously thinking of having 500 cards made up to get my name around. Pass them out on all my oil deliveries and leave them ANYWHERE I can. I'm really starting to find this searching fun. Hope you enjoyed the story.

I don't have too, I know where one is! Not sure of year though. I'll inquire about it next week. It's at a mower shop or was last i saw it. The owners son I think.

You do the same for me as far as Yamaha225's & Hoanda 200S's.

Look everywhere! Garages, barns, junk piles whatever. learn to spy but don't get arrested doing so
