    I have some questions

Just some things i was wondering

    1. What do reed cage spacer plates do for your reed cage? like how does it benefit

    2. How do you know when its time to change your reeds?

3 When you foul a plug can you just wire brush all the sooty stuff and carbon build up off and still use the same plug?

    4. On yourbrake hoses do you realy need the two oil washers on both sides of the brake hose were the oil bolt conects to the master cylinder or caliper? and or are these speacial kind of washers or are they just like the rest?

    5. What is port and polish to an engine?

Thanks for any help you can give me and sorry for all the dumb questions lol

    ?

Well I can answer a few...A reed spacer for me anyway helped me on the long runs....It will give you more top end.....I was having trouble at the 300 ft track..at the 275 mark seemed like my trike was out of gas...spacer fixed that for me.

as for as cleaning a old plug......WHY..NGK plugs are about 1.75 at autozone. Nothing will make a motor run like crap than a junk plug. When in doubt change it. Never could understand why people would spend 3 grand on a motor to be cheap with a 2 dollar plug.

    rest to follow

    reeds

as far as changing your reeds....you'll know lol....when you crack one your trike will run like its pulling a big weight, if it runs at all...trust me you'll know. I carry an extra set with me to all the races. Just a tip buy Boyson carbon fiber...They are about 50 bucks a set but damn worth it.

P N P is in a nutshell....opening the intake and exhast ports in your motor. at the same time making the flow of exhast and intake smooth(taking all of the burs of metal out of the ports) this makes the motor breath better and more efficient.

The washers on either side of the brake or oil line banjo fittings are made of copper or aluminum. They must be in place as they are really a gasket and seal against fluids escaping. They can be reused as long as they are not scored or mis-shapen.
