Energy Induction, Neil, Darius others look ok?

Give me some feedback on these. Notice the fuzzyness of the decal ... thats called "silvering" from the lamination it goes away after 24 hours....

Let me know... I had to go off of a digital picture and rough dimensions from darius

    Jared,

Not to overwhelm you...but since you are doing the 86 Z there is one more decal that needs to be in the kit so that its authentic.

Whereas the 85 Z had a 'TRI Z' logo on the top of the headlight, the 86 Z had the logo on the bottom of the headlight and it was larger.

Here is a pic with dimensions, which are:

    Length 4 inches (exactly)
Height: 1 and 1/4 inches (exactly)

    It has a black background.

    Neil,

How long is the energy induction decal you have. It looks more square than mine. The dimensions should be:

    length: 1.5 inches (exactly)
height: 1 and 1/4 inches (exactly)
NOTE: Yamaha seems to make thier decals in exact fractions of inches (i.e., 1/2, 1/4, 1 inch, whereas Honda uses all sizes so you have to measure in centimeters and such.)

You may want to make the Yamaha lettering just slightly bigger.

The job you are doing is incredible. The accuracy of color and design is flawless as the pics show.

    Yours for comparison:

I too noticed it seemed a little off. I double checked the dimensions, as seen in my included picture. 1.58 x 1.28 i think it is... i dont know what to do?

I am going to fax Jared a copy of the Boost Bottle with the decal on it. It will be the actual size...so well figure this out.

The other color Tri Z kits should be going up in the next couple hours so everyone get thier wallets ready!!

I think the diference between the two is the spacing in each letter. The repro's have the Yamaha letters closer together then the original. Try spacing them out one or two pixles, maybe even less, and I bet it will look right.
