You have a new stator in the bottom? Where did it come from? why did you have to solder? Seems like the problem is there if you have no spark.

Use soldering flux and 60/40 solder for a nice solid connection and then cover the connection with shrink tubing.

make sure that the insulation can resist high heats because it gets hot down there.

You can buy stuff from electronic stores that is a thermo plastic. Heat it and it shrinks and covers your wire.... I wonder why they call it shrink tube???

I bet your soldering iron is not hot enough causing a cold solder.
You know how many watts it is?

trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro i wish it ran! lol...i got it all torn down to the case in my garage in about 2 hours..gettin ready to take the clutch off so i can remove the counter shaft and put a new one in and a new shift shaft and rod..the shifter and the front sprocket are welded to the shafts ..and the new sprocket is a 13 tooth..o yea...and hopefully i can put the 200x gearing in there so i can be just as fast as a normal 200x but with an anuto matic clutch..the downside is takepff but i dont plan on racing so its all good..unless im already moving and decided to smoke my bro on his lakota sport 300...lol that would be great!

After a rebuild, it seems that you have to work out the bugs. Usually it is something simple too!

yea i know...i tell u what tho..after 20 years when a honda locks the piston to the cylinder and melts the rings..u always have a problem..before my friend locked it up it ran great all the time..never failed to start on the 1st or 2nd pull...even without the choke in the winter with wind chills to -10...it always started before that..now that i rebuilt it..it dont work..and i found my problem i think with the air leak noise..my exhaust valve is still open when its supposed to be closed..so thats a simple fix..now if i can just get the stator fixed..itll be perfect...and 1 ? on my stator u said use shrink tubing right? well should i only do the connection or should i cover the whole stator coil with it and the connection??

I would just cover the connection where you soldered it.
How did you friend melt down your motor? Ride the piss outta it?
