Anyone ever run their trike down the 1/4 mile???

I'm pretty big into drag racing cars, but I was wondering if anyone's ever had their trike clocked in the 1/4 mile and what kind of times and mph it ran.

One of the mags did that with a tricked out Banshee in like 1988 or so. Top speed was 101mph but I forget the et. Less than 12 seconds I think.

i know a guy that had a raptor running 6.80's in the 8th, at about 103. i've also seen a couple of banshees run way faster. but i think they had big snowmobile motors built all to hell. this was all on pavement, at a drag strip.

... no, but I've done the 1/17.6th of a mile.
i know a guy that had a raptor running 6.80's in the 8th, at about 103.
.... that translates into about 3.2 seconds or 94ft per second in a normal 300ft drag ..... sounds a little inflated (or is it deflated?)

That actually sounds quite possible to me. That translates to about a mid 10 second pass in the 1/4. I've seen quads do 10's at the track.

.. have you ever been to a 300ft drag?. The fastest quad I've ever seen was a near 100hp Polaris 400 Sport that ran a low 4 seconds on dirt with Alky and Nitrus. After skill, traction is everything - so I would have to see the time slip to believe that. Then again the first 1/16 of a mile at the strip is alot different than the second 1/16th too .........

No, never been. I was talking about pavement. The quad I saw was this crazy looking stretched out 2 stroke with two weird looking long tuned pipes running nitro (like R/C car gas) and a wheelie bar. It ran a 1.2 60 foot time.

I ran my Warrior down a quarter mile drag, triple tree and all. My buddy let me plat after hours. it was neat, but I topped out too fast. There is strip not too far from here where they allow quads and trikes to race the cars. Cool huh?

this was not your everyday raptor. it was stretched 15in, slammed on the ground with no shocks (struts) wheelie bar, hoosier slicks, bored and stroked to the max with custom billet cylinder, and also had nitrous. trust me, i have no reason to lie. i was running him on my 96 GSXR 750, and i was running 6.70's.

There was a crazy tricked out quad at the hartford, PA fair last year, it wasnt the nicest thing but man it was the fastest thing there. It had been streched out about 2 foot and had a big arse wheelie bar. His nick name was farmer (because he was a farmer) but he was the NY drag champion last year I believe they announced. He ran the 300 in just around 3 secs.
