No, and it will probably sound like crap. If you want it loud buy a Cobra. Don't butcher your stock exhaust, just sell it to me for cheap.

    I'd advise you NO!!!!

What is your goal in doing so? If it's for "more" flow, you'd be wrong.... if it's for more noise... you'd be right. Plus think about it... drilling holes in your muffler will invite water/mud into it and totally plug/rust/ruin etc your muffler~!

I WOULD advise you to sell your 350X if you think drilling holes in it will "make it more better". But then agian, I'm a ATC purist....

Take the baffle out and run it that way. Don't forget your K&N filter. That should help her breath better!

Too bad FMF doesn't make exhaust for the 350x. Try a DG excellerator like mine.

Put a Stock 2004 Honda 450R muffler on it with a HRC tip. Will cost you less than $50 for everything. I did it. Cost me $45. Sounds and looks good. Flows good too.

I had to drill a spot out on the frame by the grab bar. You can do that or weld a bolt to the frame. I chose to drill thru the frame right beside the grab bar mount. About 1 inch from it. Then I bolted the muffler up. Then I took it to a muffler shop, and had them make me a mid pipe to go between the muffler and header. Its about a 6inch long piece. They fabed the piece and tack welded it to the muffler. Unbolted it and fully welded it on. THen put it back on and tightened everything up. Took the guys at the muffler shop like 10 min to do. Charged me $15. The only other thing I had to do was tilt the brake reservoir and mount in a little to clear the muffler. Worked great. Quite a few of the guys did it. It sounds really good with the spark arrestor out and a HRC tip installed. Or you can make your own tip. Really deep exhaust. Oh yeah and the muffler is polished stainless. Do a search with these key words 450R muffler mod. There are pics of MO350Xs muffler and how he did it. I did mine right after he did his. No joke, I got the muffler off ebay for $15. Paid $15 for shiping, and $15 to have the muffler shop make that little section of pipe and weld it to the muffler. It rocks. If you cant find that post, let me know and I will post some pics of mine.

    thanks for the posts guys.

i really like this mod. i think i would try creating a bracket that extended from the grab bar bolts and allowed the muffler to bolt to the backet.

the 100% stainless big fat queit exhaust is everything i want.

thats the reason i have stuck with stock all this time. i like the quiet muffler. i dont want to get people mad at the noise and come down on us atvs.

i am gonna try picking one up off ebay.

    thanks.

You wont be dissapointed Sportvette. Hey how does that supertrap sound. I had one on my XR500R 4 stroke and It would rattle the neighbors windows and set off car alarms . How does it sound on the X?
