11 tooth for the front.
So if I installed a 12 tooth (larger), that would get me a little more torque and pulling power?
Go for a smaller front or larger rear.
Ok. thanks for the info!
What's the stock rear sproket size? 40 tooth?
41 tooth rear 11 toth front is stock...id keep trailprotrailpro 11 front and get a bigger rear..if u can find any rear sprockets that are bigger..i cant find any at all stock or not for my 83 185s..then go with a 10 tooth front..you WILL notice a difference moving front sprocket sizes

Pulling power difference and torque?
I went to a 10 tooth front (with no other changes at the time) and it made a HUGE difference in low end performance.

I just put an 8 tooth front sproket on my 83 185S, I did not change the rear sprocket yet. This baby is nothing but torque in first and second gear now. I use my trike for ice fishing so the speed of the trike was not a concern. First gear was plenty fast enough before now I probably wont get out of second gear. You can pick up a rear sprocket for a 200s for cheap on ebay, it will fit the 83 185S and it will be 43 teeth. Another note on this 8 tooth front sprocket, I had to remove the chain tensioner in order to get enough movement to tighten the chain. I am going to try this for a while but may end up switching to a 9 tooth. The torque is enough that the rear brake does not hold if you hit the throttle too much.
Update.
I did get my 10 tooth sprocket and replaced. Man, the old 11 tooth looked like a throwing star.
Our snow is melting and really heavy and wet so I went for a jaunt,
I did notice better performance and did not have to rap out the engine as much.
