    Question 250R brake questions

I was wondering how hard it was to come by a complete front brake assembly for a 1983 250R. By complete assy. i mean : resivoirs (both), hydraulic cable and the perch mount...do you have any idea of what they cost?? (yes i have seen the one on ebay for sale by mohawke salvage...IF YOU ARE BIDDING ON IT DROP ME A LINE AND I WILL STOP OR MAYBE WE COULD WORK OUT A DEAL??? If i decide to buy new parts is the a company i could get them from...i have not had luck w/ any of them so far

are there any other setups from other machines that would work on my R??

I actually talked to that guy at mohawk salvage today onthe phone about some other parts today. His name was john and was a real nice guy. I dont know what other years will work but I would deal with those guys any day. I you could pick that off ebay for less than $50.00 grab it

also a 86/87 200x caliper will bolt right on a 83/84 front end, thats what I used when I put the 350x tripples and 84r forrks, hub, wheel, etc on my 86 200x

I had a complete front brake assembly someone used/had mounted on 83R forks. I gave them to Kintore (sp.) as an added Christmas Day bonus!

As far as a master cylinder/lever, check out the thread of the guy liquidating the Cannondale parts on ebay.
