I am trying to verify the year 250R I have. I was told an 87, but I am thinking its actually an 86. Is there somewhere online I can get the info to check my serial against?

Id start looking through the trikesilvania forum. A while ago someone actually posted a pic of a serial number used as an example which had all the different pieces pointed out and how to read the serial number.

you have a pic of the frame? I can tell a 86 or 87 from the front motor mounts, 88/89 look for a rear solid swingarm(no motor mount piece) and the rear motor mount on the frame.
