I got this off ebay for $9.99 and it said it was off an 86 ATC250R....What do yall think? Does it look like it came off an 86R? I figured for $10 bucks it was a safe purchase.

Surely somebody knows if this an 86 or not. Lots of edperience peruseing this board.
After looking at my '85 and looking at the picture of the '86 model in the book, I would have to say it sure looks like a 250R rotor and hub you have. But I cannot see in the book if it says that the '85/'86 model years are different. The '85/'86 models have totally different rear carriers and brake systems. It is for a 250R but I can't remember if there are two different ones. I just put a LSR carrier on my '85 and replaced the same brake rotor hub for $65.. new honda part, and a Braking brake rotor that cost $115. So for 10 bucks you made out.
I would rather have a sister in a whorehouse, than a brother with a quad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still walking the "Tightrope"
Well I hope I scored a deal....The only thing that puzzles me is that it looks like rivets holding the rotor to the hub...is that what I am seeing and is that right?
iT SHOULD TAKE AN ALLEN WRENCH TO REMOVE THE ROTOR FROM THE HUB

If memory serves me correctly, the Rs and the '86 350X had allen wrench BOLTS instead of studs. Did all year Rs have the bolts?
Measure the bolts pattern and that will tell you for sure. Either that, or try to bolt it on and use it if it fits.![]()

The 85 disc mounts towards the inside of the hub as where the 86 mounts on the outside of the hub. you can tell by were the axle seal rides on the hub that would be the inside.
That looks exactly like my 86 set-up.
The 85 and 86 rotor and rotor hub are exactly the same, they face and mount the same way too. The side facing up in the pic goes towards the bearing carrier.
I have both, the 85 is on my R, and the 86 is right here in my hand.
The rotor should be at least 3mm's thick. If you look on the other side you'll see a drive driection arrow stamped in the rotor.
If you look very closely you'll see where a thin rubber o-ring goes, just below and inside the hole where the splines are. Look on the side you have facing up in the pic.
