Are the 85 and 86 350x tank wings the same?

Are the 85 and 86 wing stickers on the gastank the same?
anyone ever got any good reproductions?

No they are different. One of the Big Differences is the letters HONDA on the 85 are in Red the 86 are in white. Harlan Lysne has some good reproductions. Contact him at hjlysne@charter.net Tell him Clay sent you. He knows the dirrerences. Sizes are perfect.

Posted this in the ebay forum.... but thought I'd better put it here too. Try OEM ones form ServiceHonda... there's where I got mine last year. Harlan's are very nice too... infact, those are the one's I use on my trike's now.... keeping the OEM ones for the future! hahaha Info below on the tank shouds too FYI.... "keithmart" is the same one that sells the OEM tank shouds too... Hmmm... buy the decals for $12... sell with a start price of $30 by misleading people... well.. that's more a ebay forum topic.

Like Clay said though... 85 had red Honda, and the wing red, white blue from front to back.... 86 has Honda in white and the red white and blue on the wing is layered differently.

Not sure if the 85 ones are replaced with the 86 part number or not. I see the 85 part in the catalog says "85" but the "86" part number shows for both 85 and 86. Oh.... and their website says they are still available, but always best to call servicehonda.... heck.... I'll even give you their toll free number!

I perfer the 86 scoops cause they are different than the 85's to reduce them catching on the front forks.

PS - Someone's trying to make a set of tank fenders look like OEM ones unless you look closely. Might as well give the ServiceHonda info on that too!

350xin NY why do the stickers have 2 prices for each?

When you copy and paste, it doesn't put the titles in. The higher price is the Honda "Retail" price. The second price is what Service Honda sells it at. Not sure why the 85 decals are a few cents cheaper than the 86 ones. Or are you asking why there are 2 part numbers? The decals are individual from HONDA. In the description, L = Left side, R. = Right side. Hope that clears it up for you! The wings "fold back" towards the driver... the L and R is in reference to the driver as well.
