    Image resizer

Hey Rachael, r u warm now? To resize pics, I use a small program from Microsoft. It is called Powertoys Image Resizer. Download it here from my site. To use it, just install it like a normal program. It is only 520k, so it will load quick. Once you install it, to use it....just right click on the picture you want to resize and a list of options pops up. You will see about 3-4 down from the top of the list "Resize Pictures" click it. A new popup box will open. It is fairly easy to figure out...just pick one of the 4 preset sizes, OR open the advanced tab by clickin advanced. That will open up a few other options. You can choose to make the picture any size you want....as in makin an AVATAR. You can also use the options to make the original picture smaller or larger. I forgot to tell you earlier that when you click one of the preset sizes, it makes a copy of the picture THAT size. You will then have TWO of the same pic. One original, the other resized. If you don't have alot of space on your harddrive to store bunches of pictures and duplicates, resizing the originals is the best bet. Hope this was explained good enough. If not, let me know and I will try to get ya straightened out. WAKE UP MAX!!! WAKE UP!!!!

PS, sorry I mispelled your name.

    Hi Jordan,

Cool pictures. You guys look like you had a lot of fun. I am very new to the race "business". I called my husband with your question and he is calling to double check with the AMA. We would love to have you guys at our track. As long as the AMA OK's it. We have to follow their rules to keep our sanctioning, and since we are the new guys we are trying not to upset them too much. I personally don't see why that would be a problem. Do you know if the sunset ramblers are AMA santioned? Because if they are and its OK it should be OK for our track. I will email you again as soon as I hear back from the AMA. Thank you for the interest in our track and I hope to see you this summer. Feel free to email me anytime or call 740 767 3740 with further questions. Shawna

I really doubt the AMA will allow trikes on that track, they are the ones who bailed on all the racers and the ATVA in the 80's to start with Keep your fingers crossed though, never know.

Its been almost 10 years since I even asked about an AMA event, and then it was resounding "NO". At that time, those were AMA rules, not individual track rules. Im not optimistic for an AMA invitation. Even as far back as 1990 they would not permit trikes to participate in the Blackwater 100. Many AMA sanctioned tracks (such as Crow Canyon) will allow trikes at pratice times, but they cannot ride in sanctioned events.
CRA is a different matter entirely. I got involved in racing CRA sanctioned events in 1998 because they DID allow trikes. There are no CRA rules against trikes, but some individual tracks do not allow them. This is their website
http://home.alltel.net/racecra/ CRA dominates amateur ATV racing in Ohio anyways, and have for more participants than AMA events.

I know I'm currently in the pro-arm chair division but I just want to say keep up the good work. It really is great what you guys are trying to do.

So let me get this straight, your attempting to get permission to race your trike at an AMA sanctioned event? Instead of beating your head against a wall, why don't you race and support the CRA events? Show that you can be competitive and safe in that series. Once you run that series for a year, if you decide to go after AMA sanctioned races, at least you would have some information and results to propose to them.

I personally think a better way to go with AMA would be a proposed "Vintage 3 wheeler class". Even still that would be highly unlikely, the amount of race oriented trikes left out there, combined with the few brave enough to race them, would be so minimal that there would never be enough to fill a class anyhow.

Personally, I don't care to race an AMA event anyhow. If they wanted me there they would invite me. Not to mention that the level of competition that you could be forced to run with may,in fact, be dangerous to yourself and other racers. I mean face it, our trikes are 20 years old and are in no way designed for the level of tracks that are out there today. I say stick to the outlaw races.

I'm going to take this year to build my trike. Next year when it's done I'll be glad to join up with all of you for some races. Reading this thread just make me want to get it done quicker. Hopefully next year I'll move up from the pro-arm division but untill then I'll be in the back supporting.
