    my 200x is going to the shop

    My 200x is going to the shop tomorrow. They are going to clean out the fuel system and get it running. I hope I can get it running for under $150.00
    Hopefully, in a couple of weeks I'll be riding the trails here in Southwest Idaho.

    yeah fuel systems are pretty easy, even for someone like me that doesnt like digging into mechanics
    1983 Honda ATC 200x-shes a beater

    Past Rides:
    1982 ATC Big Red 200e (miss it more than i thought i would)
    1985 200x rode it for about a mile

    Ya know I was having a ton of problems with my 85' 200x also. I was fed up to the point of well I'm taking it to the shop-let them deal with it and I don't care how much it costs!
    well, after meeting someone on these boards that lives nearby (huffa) He convinced me to not take it to a shop cause it will cost an arm and a leg. All you really need is a good clymer manual, lots of pateince, this very informative board and some good people and I'm sure you can pretty much fix any problem you may have with your ride.

    I would personally like to thank Huffa, and everyone on this forum for helping me out. Without you guys I would have never figured out my trike troubles and would of had an empty bank account. Once again thank you, you're all the best!

    My 200x

    I took it to Cycle Salvage here in Nampa. They said they would probably look at it today. I also stopped by the Honda dealer and got some info on a beginners riding class. I still need to get a helmet (wife's orders).
    I am still undecided what I'm going to do with the Yamaha YTM200.

    Yamaha YTM200

    I already own the Yamaha 200. I'm not sure what I am going to do with it. It depends on how much everyone enjoys the Honda 200x. I got both the Honda and the Yamaha in a package deal. The previous owner seemed to think that the Honda was in much better shape than the Yamaha. She said they both ran when they parked them. But does not think the Yamaha is worth fixing. I might take it over to the shop after I see how much the Honda sets me back. I have been looking at E-bay on the those four wheelers from China. Does anybody know anything about them?

    What is wrong with the 200? I was just at Canyon Honda today. They have become my favorite shopping place. I hope that slows down soon.

    Welcome to three wheels! You will either love it or hate it!
    3-wheelers have a rep because they can bite you in the ass! (but can You cross a river on a motorcycle?)


    Never put your foot down. This is a good thing to remember.
    Put your weight on the OUTSIDE peg to turn.
    Always keep your mind two steps ahead. Thinking ahead will save you.
    LEAN!!!!!!!!! USE LOTS OF BODY ENGLISH, BESIDES, IT'S MORE FUN THAT WAY!

    dude...do you want this guy to kill him self...you LEAN into a turn, so in other words put your weight on INSIDE peg.

    Yep ive had one. i had a yamoto 110. not bad but problems occur. i had a battery fault then a CDI fault. plus they rust to easy (even with cover on) and alot of bolts come loose easy!

    but worth the money as there easy to fix. some chinese company has been bought out my some american company i think. im not sure!

    I had a ride day not too long ago and i invided a few of my friends that had never been on a trike (some never motorbikes) and before they took off i gave them two golden rules (usually right after telling them how to change gear) - 1. do not ever put your feet off the pegs until the trike is stopped. First instinct is to put the feet down. Thing is you only do it once. 2. lean in, if you dont you roll over.

    This said there were no injuries. Remember the golden rules and thats all there is to it.
