200s brake cable and rear sprocket q
I ordered a new rear brake cable (hand lever) from mfgsupply.com , and when it came in, it was perfect, but about 2-3 inches longer than the stock one. Do you think this is a problem? Will i be able to make up for the extra slack somewhere? (cable was made by motionpro)
Heres a link to it

Another question. I am gonna buy a new chain and rear sprocket (43 tooth, already have a new 11 tooth front one) for the bike, and I was wondering if a 35 dollar rear sprocket would be just as good as a 60 dollar one.
That mfgsupply.com place has a 43 tooth rear sprocket with the rubber bushings in it for 35 bucks, and dennis kirk has one for 65 bucks. The bike is just used for riding on trails, so nothing too spectacular is needed, just something that isnt worn. Also, I am getting that DID 520 x ring chain (84 links) . Does it come with a master or link or do you need to buy one seperately?
Here are the links for the sprockets

Also, should i keep the rear sprocket size at 43 or go up or down? The bike is used for trailriding, and its only a 200s, nothing too sporty about it.
Thanks,
Mike

I ordered the same rear brake cable for my 84 200M... hope to install it this weekend. I haven't removed the original yet so couldn't tell you if they're the same size. If there is a difference hopefully the extra length won't matter, maybe make the loop from the handle bars to frame larger. I hope these new cables work... my originals (foot and hand) are toast...

Master link comes with chain.
The $35 sprocket should do just fine for your purpose.
If you want a bit more low end grunt go up 2 teeth. You will lose just a bit of top end speed but who cares. Just depends how satisfied you are with the gearing now. A 2 tooth more may require a 1 link longer chain also. The chain may come with a few more links then it calls for anyway. That you would have to ask the supplier.
The 11 F tooth........is that stock # of teeth?
