If you want an extended swing arm , get one from an 86 350x , they are about a 1.25 inch's longer than the 85's. You will have to cut the brake mount off the 85 and weld it on the 86 swingarm. It is also gusseted which the 85 swingarm isnt .

Dude i put the 2 side to side and all .,i even used a tape. Im tellin u its 1 inch longer .
maybe they have different sprocket gearing and that makes the chain the same size
Caution
Do not "POP WHEELIES" and run for any distance with the ATC. The oil capacity is relatively small and the oil will drain out of the oil pump area thus causing loss of oil pressure, resulting in costly engine damage -CLYMER
how can I tell if I have a 85 or 86 swinger, my 350x is a 86 frame, but has 85 tripples(not tapered bearings), I was able to put a 250r caliper plate, caliper, brake hub and such on the 350x I have, do I have a 85 or 86, as I need to order a carrier. Also the rear shock is held on by two bolts in the swingarm one goes under the bottom and the the other one goes through it, and I can't get the one that goes through the swinger out. Are the 350x's standard with dual piston front brakes, mine has them, it looks like a 250r caliper and with the 350x caliper plate a 250r brake would fit, this is my first 350x. according to rockymountianatv.com the chain is longer on a 86 350x. my 350x definetly has a 86 motor, due to how the cluth cable is run, or could that be easily changed?
On the 85 swing arm on the left side you will see a stud where the brakes bolt on to , on the 86 it doesnt have it so you have to cut it off the 85 and weld it on the 86. on the 86 on the left side the stud wont be there
ok, so it kinda like how the 85 250r caliper mounts compared to a 86. I have a 86 swinger then.
yep i guess so ! i had a 86 swinger on my 85 r but it was on it when i got it
I'm no 350x expert but I'm betting that one of yours is an aftermarket swinger.
