    do 84 and 86 200x carbs interchange?

    Hopefully this is a simple question. Do 84 and 86 200x carburetors interchange?

    I don't know if they fit but I do know that there are different positions that you can mount the intake so that the carb does not hit the frame.I think that is the main thing to worry about.

    I beleive that they are simliar in design but they are different. I know that they use different carb kit part numbers. They might interchange between bikes but I am not 100% on that.

    I took a 200x carb and put it on a 200e bolted up just fine. As long as it fits "Flush" too the intake tube and bolt holes line up you should be fine. if it does all that but dont fit air box thats up too you. modify air box tube too fit or take it out and run a filter with clamp out back ex. k&n,moose ,uni. or whatever.

    By the way you have a fixed intake tube right? not a reed cage?
