    premix ratios

what is the best ratio for power and durability for the bike that is in my signature?

i have been running 20:1 forever and i know that is too rich, but the thing is i have a friend that is a semi-professionalish dirtbike racer that is sponsored by ktm and he has always ran 20:1 in his race bikes....idk, he rides ktms and i have an old 250r so its probly different...

    thanks...

32:1 is pretty standard, it is a good mix, its a little on the rich side but not nearly as much as 20:1

Depends on the oil. I used to run 20:1 with cheap-o wal-mart oil then I got into super techniplate. With Klotz super techniplate I run at 50:1 and now I have more power and my cylinders are lasting a lot longer.

Try out HP2 its fully sysnthetic, wich has been proven to last longer than normal 2-stroke oil.

it makes sense that a guywho races bikes would mix it at 20:1 becuse a 2 stroke motor makes its most power at 18:1....check out www.macdizzy.com
