i just recieved a 86 rolling chassi. with the 86 wiring and all. but i have a 87 trx motor. will the cdi be efficient for the 87 motor. id appreciate your help!!. thanks

New to the board
I'm in a pickle. I have an 82 atc250r and am missing my cdi. Been restoring the whole bike and this missing piece is a show stopper. Are late model 250r cdi's compatible? What are my options as I live in Eastern Canada where the 250R is almost a mythical creature.
