    The Holy Grail of Swingarms

Check this add for TRX Cal-Fabs. I've been scouring my old mags looking for something else though. I've found pics of Cal-Fabs on both Tecates, 350Xs, 200Xs, 250Rs, QuadRacers, & TRX250Rs, but I have yet to see one on a Tri-Z. I can find Tri-Zs with WestCoasts (very rare), but not a CAL-FAB.

So I'd say the holy grail of swingarms would have to be the Tri-Z Cal-Fab as this add states evidently was availabe.

I dug out some boxes from my shop because I knew I had these. This new Tecate swinger came from Kelvin back in 85. It's a +2 and I have a new +4 and a +2 for a 200X. The old school crowd knows what Franks parts were all about. Don't get me wrong, the Cal-Fabs are sick, not to mention much more popular, but nothing would equal the strength of the Franks swingers made from 4130 chromoly tubing, (All oval stock not square). Franks arm weighted 8 more pounds than the Cal-Fab. Look for my custom Tecate in the Future with a tricked out chrome swinger made recently by Kelvin Franks in Australia.

I think the champion tecate swingarms are pretty cool and unique. My bro has one on his 84 T3, we also have a brand new cal fab for the same bike, on the shelf. FYI, the champions are still available NOS, but you would hafta ask my bro for the guys phone number. I doubt he would give it up though! I think he has the only champion swingarmed Tecate out there, and pretty sure he wants to keep it that way! LOL

I'd take a Westcoast over any Franks or calfab...I had a calfab, it broke in 3 places on a mx track in the late 80's...
