I use 80w-90 synthetic in my Big Red. Take it out for a ride and get the oil good and warm before you drain it. It will drain better when hot.

If your oil is contaminated then water is getting in there through a ripped driveshaft boot, bearing seals or where the diff bolts to the front of the swingarm. Better figure out where it's coming from or you'll lose that diff.

see i dont think it contaminated. because if stuff geting in means stuff should be coming out and there no leaks anyware. the oils full, its just thick.im thinking its just very old oil. its like working on a car that hasnt had it oil changed in years and the oil comes out like tar. plus the trike didnt seem like it was taken good care of. i mean it runs good and strong it just doesnt look to pretty from its broken plastic, dented gas tank, missing hand brakes, etc..
after i change it ill keep a eye on the oil to make sure it not getting water in it. but im pretty sure its really old oil.
